Things I’m Currently Loving

You know you’re blogging mojo has up and left you when you find yourself posting about random products. Or maybe that’s just me. Anywho, I thought I’d talk about some products I’ve recently acquired and am loving, whether because they’re uber functional or just plain pretty.

Lush Cosmetics skincare products. I recently pampered myself and spent way too much money on things I didn’t clearly needed from Lush. You know, because EVERYONE needs handmade soap, even though they already own a perfectly lovely bottle of $4 shower gel. I got this Angels on Bare Skin clay face cleanser and I love it. It’s an oatmeal base and exfoliates without being too harsh. After I use it, my skin feels light and glowy. Plus, even though it was $18, I only need a teeny tiny amount, so it should last long enough to be totally worth the price.

I know it looks like a pile of poop here, but I promise it smells nothing like it.

Then I got this Tea Tree Water toner for use after the cleanser and it makes my face feel completely refreshed. Love.

Poop in the first photo, vag fruit in the second!

I fell instantly in love with the Buffy Body Butter. It’s more like an exfoliating bar of soap that you use in the shower, but it tingles while it’s on and leaves you feeling really soft and smooth when it’s rinsed off.

Plus, it's named after Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I also got Jesus a scent from there. It’s called “Breath of God.” It smells just as awesome as the name would imply.

Aptly named cologne for a beau I've nicknamed "Jesus," no?

I purchased this awesome Brown Bear Spirithood, too. It’s super warm and super fun!

Everyone should wear animals on their head.

Jesus’ restaurant rotates their art every month, and features stuff by different local artists. There was this print hanging on the wall this past month that I loved, and when I came in the other day, he had purchased it from the artist for me! It’s three Boston landmarks (the Citgo sign, the State House, and the Prudential Center) riding bicycles.

I wasn't lying when I said, "Best. Boyfriend. Ever."

I also recently began using the Essence of Beauty line from CVS in Jasmine Ginger. I bought the shower gel initially and loved the scent so much that I went back the next day and bought the body lotion and the perfume. It’s sweet and floral but not overwhelming and is really just lovely. Even better? It’s crazy cheap.

I know this isn't the Jasmine Ginger scent, but it was the only picture with the entire collection I could find, aight?

And finally (for now), my new winter coat. Purple with lime green trim. North Face. 800-fill down. Super-duper thin. You know yer jellis.

Purple and puffy!

I recently bought Breath of God for myself, I love it more than most girly scents.Glad to hear Buffy is good. I’ve been considering getting it on my next Lush trip. I live by their bar shampoos for my dry scalp.

I’m currently loving cute plushies from I Heart Guts, lowrider headphones by Skullcandy and I’m dying for some two-finger cross rings from Karmaloop.

and hoodies, lovesac beanbags, and any and all candles.
I’ve always wanted to try Lush’s Ocean Salt, but I wasn’t sure it’d be worth it. I may just go ahead splurge now if their products work this well.

I tried the Ocean Salt during an in-store treatment and it was great. The salesperson said it was her favorite product in the store, too.

I’m loving the JASON line of products at Whole Foods. There’s also this hair nourishing stuff from Jane something or other that I got at Whole Foods. This stuff keeps my ends from splitting and is just awesome. Even my hair dresser noticed how much healthier my hair is. Now only if I could find a miracle product to stop me from growing gray hair…..

OH and there’s an awesome Moscato D’Asti from Whole Foods that is the best thing since vibrators! I guess I’m just loving Whole Foods in general.
