Product Review: Ophoria Beyond 3

I’m a total whore for g-spot stimulation. I almost always buy curved dildos now, and have little to no interest in dildos that are not curved, unless there’s something else special about them (i.e. the massive girth of Randy). And after Epiphora’s glowing review of the Ophoria Beyond 3, I decided that I needed to get my hands on one of my own RIGHTFUCKINGNOW. Luckily, Fascinations indulged my desire for one, and I was a happy (and grateful) little slut.

The Beyond 3 is almost ‘S’ shaped, and is made from smooth, pretty matte silicone. There is a hole at the end of the toy that can be used as a handle, and the tip is bulbous. It reminds me a bit of the Fun Factory Curve, but without the bump at the head that caused pain or discomfort so many people, and the silicone is not as flexible at the Curve’s. It’s relatively firm, but does have some give to it. It’s also not insanely girthy, and is a totally average size that I would think most people would have no problem with.

I will start off by saying that, sadly, I did not have the kind of experience with the Beyond 3 that ‘Piph did. However, that does not mean that I didn’t like the Beyond 3, because HOLYCRAP DID I EVER. I was just hoping for massive gushing within 15 seconds, which is a kind of unrealistic expectation. So. I don’t typically thrust with my dildos. I prefer to insert them and just kind of pull down on the base so that it drives the toy into my g-spot. I also like to have something to clench down on and just a general feeling of fullness, as opposed to thrusting the toy. Because of this, I would have preferred a little more of a curve to the toy, and a harder material. I’ve been spoiled by stainless steel, glass, wood, and aluminum toys for g-spot stim now, and so anything that’s not totally firm tends to leave me wanting for a little more.

But I still really, really like this toy. It’s good if I want a little less intensity or am in the mood for more of a slow build than a wham, bam, thank you ma’am kind of thing. I can also see most people really loving this toy. It’s not intimidating or overly heavy or large, and it’s totally affordable. I also really liked using this toy with a partner, much better than using it on my own. Though I generally prefer most dildos when they’re wielded by a partner (and I prefer using vibes solo).

If you don’t know the drill on the cleaning of this toy by now, you clearly haven’t been paying attention. But because sometimes I get new readers and ish, I guess I’ll repeat it. If you don’t plan on sharing, antibacterial soap and warm water are good enough. If you do, boil it, bleach it with a 10% solution, or throw it in the dishwasher (top shelf, no soap) to sterilize it. And as always with silicone, water-based lube only, plz.
