Product Review: Tristan Plug

I was uber excited when Fascinations sent me the Tristan plug to review. Not only is it made by Vixen Creations, a company I love, but it was designed by Tristan Taormino, who’s pretty much made her name as the anal sex guru. Plus, I’d heard awesome things about this plug, so I couldn’t wait to try it myself. I swear by my Tantus Ryder plug for extended wear, and wanted to see if I could find another plug that could compare.

First things first: this plug is smaller than I expected it to be, but has a totally unique shape that I’ve never seen on another plug. It’s made from Vixen Creations uber soft silicone, just like my Leo.

So, how did I fare with the Tristan plug? Really well! For such a small plug, the shape makes it feel much more filling than you would anticipate. The softness of the silicone allows this plug to be great for extended wear, as it almost molds to your body and you can forget it’s in. It stays in well, goes in easily, and is practically perfect in every way. I officially love this plug.

I have the same complaint with this toy that I did with my Leo– mainly that the silicone collects lint and dust like crazy and it’s hard to keep clean. But that’s a minor complaint, really. Remember to only use water-based lube with Tristan, so you don’t ruin in, and you can wash it with warm soap and water, or sterilize it by boiling it, bleaching with a 10% solution, or running it through the dishwasher.

This plug also comes in the Tristan 2 version, but that one’s much bigger, and definitely not for anal novices. It’s for experts, all the way. It’s like the black diamond of butt plugs.
