The Frisky recently published an article called 15 Smokin’ Celebs With Girl-Next-Door Freckles. I’ve always had a thing for women with freckles, and I applaud The Frisky (which rarely happens) for recognizing unconventional beauty. However, I take huge issue with the fact that they called freckles “imperfections.” What the fuck is that shit? Freckles are nowhere near “imperfections.” That’s like calling brown hair or A-cup breasts “imperfections.” It’s fucking disgraceful and absurd, and it’s no wonder that I have friends with beautiful freckles sprinkling their noses and cheeks that cover them up with foundation and powder.
Freckles are gorgeous, and they should be embraced. We often think of freckles appearing only on redheads, but blondes and brunettes can have them, too. Black people and Asian people rock freckles, as well. Maybe it’s a case of wanting what I can’t/don’t have, but I’ve always longed to have freckles on my nose. I think they’re absolutely adorable. There are a lot of pictures in this post, but I found so many that I loved that I couldn’t resist posting them all.

I come from freckled stock and sport a few on my nose. I like freckles very much, especially on guys (freckles on the arms just make me swoon for some reason).
Yay! I'm very freckly, especially on my face. And I'm not naturally a redhead, but I think the freckles make my red hair look more natural. Freckles are awesome. It's like having constellations on my face. I have a line of them across my right eyelid, and I think it looks cool.
*laughs* I am one of those that spend all summer trying to cover up my freckles. On others they are cute, on me not so much.

I didn't really think about freckles before. I'm a redhead, so I have them – I generally break out in freckles, but not go brown in the sun.
My wife doesn't have any freckles, but the girl I was dating before I met her had them all over her body and looked lovely.
They are, scientifically speaking, 'imperfections' (just like natural redheads, like me, are 'mutations') but the definition of beauty is imperfection. Somebody who has no flaws is never truly beautiful, merely 'pretty.'
I like freckles too (especially when it’s a few across the cheeks like Lucy Liu).
I don’t mind my freckles either way, but I wouldn’t want any more. lol

i have freckles from head to toe. most men find them sexy and i get loads of comments, but (you knew there was a but, huh?) i've mostly always hated them.
i have one freckle in particular on my lower lip. my bff calls it my poo freckle, but it's just a dot that is often mistaken for a brownie crumb or whatnot.
i begged my mother as a child to let me bleach it off.

Faces are the frame, and eyes the windows to the soul. It speaks of strength and personality for someone being willing to embrace their self-percieved flaws, and flaunt what they've been given.

I would be a hypocrite indeed if I objected to freckles, as I was about the most freckled guy around for many years growing up. The ones on my face have faded but my arms still look like they've been splattered with brown paint.
Freckles aren't imperfections any more than moles are, or birthmarks for that matter. They're just a different kind of beauty. I dated a girl once with a massive port-wine stain on her neck. I used to delight in kissing and licking it to remind her how beautiful I thought she was.

My mom used to draw freckles on her face with an eyebrow pencil. And I remember when I was about 11 or 12, laying out in the sun with a ballet tutu over my face because I thought I'd end up with a freckle-y tan. Ha!
And when I was in elementary I had a huge thing for guys with freckles. Please, please do a guy freckle post! PLEASE!

I have freckles. I love having freckles. I wear tinted moisturizer instead of foundation so my freckles show. I hate to cover them up.

I love freckles, and I have plenty of them. That picture of Lucy Liu is gorgeous, I've always thought her face was so beautiful. And isn't the 11th picture down (the girl in the pink and black striped shirt) that girl off of ANTM? What was her name…Fo? I can't remember, but I LOVE her freckles. I don't see such a thing as an imperfection, it's just a beautiful addition.
All of those pictures are beautiful! I get a few freckles under my eyes and on the bridge of my nose when I've been in the sun, and I've always thought they were pretty cute
