Product Review: Leo

I know I’ve mentioned that Leo is big, but pictures do not do it’s size justice. I *know* that the specs say that it’s 7 1/8 inches long and has a 1 1/2 inch diameter, but that didn’t phase me. I’ve taken cocks that big! The specs and the pictures did nothing to prepare me for the actual size of the Leo. BBC indeed.

Leo is MUCH bigger than it looks in pictures. Here, let me give you some perspective:

Okie? So just be prepared when your Leo arrives and it is *quite* the dildo. The girth isn’t as intimidating as the length is.

It’s still hefty, but not nearly as intimidating as that length, at least to me. And I’m not saying that the size is a bad thing at all. It was just surprising to me, and the pictures really didn’t give me a feel for just how big this dildo really is. Vixskin silicone is softer and more flexible than much of the silicone I’ve tried. It’s not floppy by any means, but I wouldn’t call the toy “firm,” especially when holding it by it’s base. While smooth, it lacks the glass-like smoothness of Tantus silicone and I found that without enough lube, the material had a tendency to catch slightly on my skin. This was not a big deal at all, and was easily rectified with adding more lube.

Because the Leo is made from 100% silicone, you get all those good qualities that come along with silicone toys. Non-porous, phthalate-free, can be shared without a condom, sterilizable (boil it, bleach it with a 10% solution, throw it in the dishwasher (top rack, no soap)). Easy as hell to clean with antibacterial soap and warm water when you’re doing a cursory cleaning or aren’t planning on sharing. But remember, silicone toys and silicone-based lubes don’t mix; water-based lube only with your Leo. My biggest complaint about Leo is that it picks of lint and dust like a motherfucker. This is made even more obvious by the fact that my toy is black. Once I’ve cleaned the toy, I must store it in it’s plastic, tube-like package. I cannot leave it out unless I feel like washing it all over again due to it’s instant attraction to lint.

I must say that I am *very* pleased to have Leo as a part of my toy collection. It is by far my largest dildo, and it’s nice to have an option in this size range. I do require quite a bit of lube with this toy, but once I’m warmed up I have no problems with discomfort. The softness and slight squishiness of the Vixskin silicone makes for comfortable thrusting, even when the toy has hit my cervix.

I have not had the opportunity to use Leo with a harness, though I’ve heard from many people that this is a favorite dildo for harness play. My only concern would be that the toy is a tad too floppy for good, hard thrusting, yet the toy’s size would make that easier as you would have to pull out quite far while thrusting to remove the toy completely. I did not even consider attempting to take Leo anally. I’m still VERY far from that feat.
