It should be no secret by now that I’m a huge fan of Tantus products. I don’t actually think that there is anyone that has tried a Tantus product that isn’t a fan of them. So when I began my mission to learn to enjoy anal penetration, I knew that when I was ready for a dildo to fuck my ass with, I would look at Tantus dildos first. They’re made from 100% silicone and are non-porous and can be sterilized. Essential for something going in your ass. Not only that, they don’t retain smells. Again, essential for something going in your ass.
When VibeReview gave me the chance to pick something to review for them, I decided I wanted to try one of the Silk dildos for my first foray into thrusting anally. The Silk comes in three sizes: small, medium, and large. The Silk small is about the size of a finger, and I already knew I could take that comfortably, so I decided on the medium Silk, which is 6 inches long and 1.25 inches in diameter. It is made of completely smooth, matte, phthalate-free silicone with a rounded tip and a flared base so it won’t get sucked up into your ass and lost. The base is also harness compatible. I received the black Silk, which is fantastic for anal toys because it hides any, um, shit that might get on the toy (pun intended).
Honestly, I think that this was the perfect choice. With some lube (water-based only with your silicone toys, please) I was able to easily and comfortable slide the Silk into my ass. I was able to comfortably bottom the toy out as well, even though it’s longer than my plug. Thrusting with the toy was entirely comfortable, too, as the smoothness of the toy and the lack of any ridges or bumps made it very easy to slide in and out. It felt wonderful, and I’ve been able to come while fucking my ass with it and I absolutely love it.
As far as toys go, it doesn’t get any easier to clean than the Silk. If you don’t plan on sharing it or using it vaginally at all, warm water and antibacterial soap should do the trick. If you’re planning on sharing it or switching orifices, it can be sterilized by simply boiling it, bleaching it with a 10% solution, or throwing it in the dishwasher (top shelf, no soap).
I did get used to the size of it fairly quickly, however, and am already ready to try something a little larger. I’ve used the Acute comfortably anally, which is girthier than the Silk, so I know that I can move up in size. And I would like to, as I find myself adjusting to the Silk very soon after it’s been inserted and craving something a little larger. I’d very much like to try the large one.
I would highly recommend any of the Silk dildos for newbies to anal play, or even those that are more experienced that are looking for a smooth, comfortable toy for anal penetration. The small seems like it would be a great warm up toy, but I’ve found the medium one to work well for that as well. These toys also seem like they would work fantastically in a harness, and their smooth texture and moderate size make them unintimidating for anal beginners and the fact that they are not realistic looking would make them an excellent choice to bring home to your man that’s curious about bending over for you. I, personally, find it to be way too small to receive any enjoyment from using it vaginally, but it might be a good option for someone that is very tight or small, or is still a virgin. The best thing about this toy is that there’s a size for everyone! The small is 0.8 inches in diameter and 5 inches long; the large is 1.5 inches in diameter and 7.25 inches long.

Definately no silcone lube on this product! Doh! The surface is not so silky smooth anymore.
Yeah, that was your bad, Sir. I *told* you that my toys weren't compatible with silicone lube!
If I hadn't been so out of it (and restrained and drained of fluid) I would have been able to remind you. But I didn't even know what was in my ass (and probably never would have known) until you said, "Oops!"
Its okay, though. I forgive you
