Hydrasmooth is a water-based lubricant. It comes in a cream form, similar to a lotion, and is fairly thick and will stay in place well. It is glycerin-free, and this makes it great for people with sensitive skin or that are prone to UTIs and yeast infections. See, glycerin is a sugar. Sugar feeds yeast. Therefore, if you are prone to yeast infections, you really need to be using a glycerin-free lubricant. Also, because it does not contain glycerin, it will not get sticky or tacky.
You will need to reapply Hydrasmooth during extended play sessions, as water-based lubricant will eventually be absorbed into the skin. You do not, however, need to wash it off, as it will absorb on its own. I find that it doesn’t leave any kind of residue on the skin, and since it contains Aloe and Vitamin E, it works a lot like a moisturizing lotion. Water-based lubes are also a necessity if you are playing with silicone toys.
I personally love Hydrasmooth. It is my lube of choice. I find that it lasts a long enough time and feels really nice and smooth during sex. The only downside of it is that is doesn’t really taste all that great. But as long as that is not something that you require of lubricants, I highly recommend Hydrasmooth.
