I am really, really picky when it comes to lubricants. In fact, there are very few water-based lubricants that I like, and therefore, I’m always looking for a good one. Pink Water, luckily, I enjoy very much. And considering I hardly ever like lube, that’s saying a lot.
While I would prefer just to use silicone-based lubes, because they don’t dry up or get sticky, most of my toys are made of silicone that therefore not compatible with silicone-based lube. Silicone-based lube is also a little thin for my liking. The viscosity on Pink Water is perfect. It’s not nearly as thick as something like Maximus, that has about the consistency of hair gel, but it’s not nearly as thin as many other lubes, like Sliquid H2O. One of my biggest pet-peeves is when lube doesn’t stay where it’s applied, and becomes a drippy mess. Pink Water does not have that problem. It’s a nice, thick-enough gel that stays put.
Pink Water is also glycerin-free, which is fantastic. That means that it won’t get sticky, and can help women that are prone to yeast infections to avoid them. It is not, however, paraben-free, so if you’re someone that reacts to parabens, I’d steer clear of this lube. It contains aloe vera, which makes it good for skin, but it does also contain a small amount of aspertame. This should not affect most people, but those that are VERY sensitive to sugars and candida might want to be wary. The full list of ingredients is as follows:
Water, HEC, PEG 45, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Polyquaternium 5, Tetrasodium EDTA, Germall II, Sodium benzoate, Aspartame, Polysorbate 20, Aloe Vera extract, Ginseng extract, Guarana extract, Avena sativa extract, Sodium hydroxide, Propylene glycol, Cit
Pink Water was, as far as I could tell, odorless. The taste is very, very slight, and hardly noticeable at all, though it’s actually a pleasant one. The aspertame works to give it a very slightly sweet taste, but I only noticed it when I licked it off my hand, not when I was using the product.
Because Pink Water is water-based, it does not need to be washed off, as it will eventually be absorbed into the skin. I didn’t noticed any residue after the lube had dried up, and I also had no complaints about how long the lube lasted. For extended use, you will have to reapply Pink Water, as it’s water-based, but I found no problems with it drying up quickly. The lube has a nice, slippery feeling, without being too slick, like silicone lube can be.
Another really great thing about Pink Water is the bottle it comes in. It has a convenient pump-top that makes dispensing the lube easy, and it comes in an attractive, discreet plastic bottle that wouldn’t look out of place if left out on a nightstand. This lube has quickly become my favorite water-based lube, and I highly recommend picking some up!

And it’s CHEAP! I need to get me some of this stuff. The pump bottles are superb.
Ooh, this sounds like the lube I’ve been waiting for! And at a good price. I have to buy it!
Thanks for this review. It looks like a great product. Sylvanus and I use sliquid “sassy” which is their H2O, but thicker for anal.
Flipping heck, Id never thought to check my lubes for sugar or sugar subsitutes! That might actually explain a great deal in terms of my candida. Thank you x
