Product Review: Gun Oil

If you look on my sidebar, you will see a button for Babeland. I also link to them. I am now an affiliate of the site, and will be doing product reviews on my blog pretty regularly. Hope you enjoy!

Gun Oil is a silicone-based lubricant. This means that it is super slick, odorless and tasteless, will never get sticky or tacky, and will never dry up. A little bit will definitely go a long way (a dime-sized amount should be sufficient for most types of play). You will have to wash it off, though, as the silicone molecules in the lubricant are larger than your pores, so it doesn’t get absorbed into the skin like a water-based lubricant does (hence the not-drying-up factor).
Silicone-based lube is great for use in/under water and is also wonderful for anal play, since we do not self-lubricate back there. Another added perk of silicone lube is that it serves double duty as a great massage oil! Also, if you have sensitive skin, silicone lubricants are great, because there really are not very many ingredients and they are completely non-irritating. We used to have a customer at my store who had reactions to every single lube she ever tried (even water-based lubes that were supposed to be good for people with sensitive skin) except for silicone-based lubricants.
Most silicone-based lubricants are very similar (unlike many water-based lubes), but Gun Oil is by far my favorite. It contains Vitamin E and Aloe, and therefore moisturizes your skin when you use it. It leaves your skin feeling soft and silky, which is never a bad thing! And all that moisturizing really makes it great for giving massages with!
Another plus of the Gun Oil is that it tends to be on the less expensive end of silicone lubricants, even though all of them give you great bang for your buck. Gun Oil is $10 for a 2 oz bottle, but 2 oz of silicone lube will go a long way (trust me!) If this sounds like the kind of product you would like to own, head over to Babeland and pick some up!

It is very similar to Eros. I happen to like it a little bit more, because a) it leaves your skin feeling a softer due to the Vitamin E and aloe in it, and b) it tends to be less expensive.
