   I agree with the sentiment of that old saying, but it’s been at the end of too many glurge-y email forwards and now it makes me roll my eyes every time I see it.

   yes, 1000x yes..

   Nice to know i’m not alone.. I have no problem being the center of attention in so many other areas of my life.. running a meeting, acting in a play on stage even, but I have been on a dance floor as an adult like 3 times.. and wanted to run away, even though like you I wish I could enjoy it..
   An I’m a gay girl so have had zero luck finding classes to learn how to dance that doesn’t want me to dance with a man

   I wish I could “dance like no one is watching” when no one is actually watching. Sadly, I really am that self-conscious.
