- I am Emmy the author of the blog Right Turn without Signaling. I have been married for 14 years and been with my husband for 18 years. About a year ago, my husband and I started talking about opening our marriage to swinging. We’ve been having sex with others both as a couple, and most recently, 1×1 about six months ago. In addition to my husband and sex life, I wear many hats. I’m an IT professional. I’m a mom of two girls. I’m an athlete. I’m into photography, love good beer and wine….oh, yeah, and have sex toys.

My toy collection has definitely evolved over the years. I got my first vibrator and dildo when I was 18 and added other things over the years as tastes changed or we wanted to explore different types of play. Over the past 18 years, we have made mistakes in choosing toys – mainly in regards to what they are made out of and what kinds of lube can and cannot be used. Over the past 10 years, we have pretty much gotten rid of everything and started repurchasing things that were made of materials we knew exactly how to clean. I have become a bit of a materials snob as a result sticking mainly with steel, silicone and other non-porous materials where I can. While we don’t share toys, I am very cognizant of cleanliness given how many of the toys can be played with anally as well as vaginally.
I got my Pure Wand about 2+ years ago, and my husband got me the Eleven before it was widely available in the US. He read a sex blogger who talked about how excited she was that it was coming, so he made phone calls and found how he could get one for me as a gift. I wish I knew who it was because I need to thank them! We added Liberator shapes to our collection a few years ago as a Naughty Santa present. And we added some wrist restraints too – but then the dog ate one of them. I guess he liked the leather.
- We store our toys mainly in the FYN case we purchased a couple years ago after my husband (a Middle School Teacher) discovered that a boy in his class had brought his mom’s Lelo vibrator to school. The kid didn’t know what it was and said he found it in his mom’s nightstand. My hubby knew exactly what it was, also knew mom would freak if she discovered her $100 toy was missing AND taken to school. Given the number of toys we have floating around, we decided having a case that locks would be a good idea. And to store the toys someplace other than the nightstand would also be safest. While I don’t have a problem discussing them with my kids, I’d rather do it before they take it to school or something like that.
- My favorites are the Njoy toys. Love the Eleven and the Pure Wand. And the Njoy plugs are fun too. The bullet with wireless remote is also a great way to have fun discretely outside of the bedroom – but it goes through batteries like crazy. Also, I love the Liberator Scoop. Riding my husband while he is laying on top of it is easier on my knees. And there are some nice positions that create angles that we can’t easily achieve other ways.
- My wish list includes Under Bed Restraints, Smart Balls, a Fun Factory Curve and a Liberator Throe.

Aww that one looks like a little ipod!
I love the toy case. Very smart. You should treat yourself to the restraints and the Liberator.
I have just one thing to say to Emmy. YOUR HUSBAND IS A GENIUS.
I am jealous of the Liberator and really need to add that to our collection.
