I’ve been meaning to review the Tantus Ripple that I received from VibeReview for a while now. However, I haven’t really known what to say about it. The thing is, it’s just… meh. I don’t *hate* it. But I don’t *like* it, either. It’s not *unpleasant.* But it’s not *pleasant,* either.
The Ripple is a graduated anal toy, and comes in both small and large. I was sent the small one in the pretty purple color, which is the same color as my Acute. The small is 1 inch in diameter at it’s widest point, and 4.25 inches in length, while the large is 1.5 inches at it’s widest point and 6.13 inches in length. Like all Tantus toys, it’s made from 100% medical grade silicone. It’s sterilizable; boil it, bleach it with 10% solution, or throw it in the dishwasher (top shelf, no soap). If you don’t plan on sharing (which can be done without a condom if it’s sterilized), antibacterial soap and warm water will suffice. However, stick with water-based lubes only with this toy, please.
Okay, so why, exactly, did I not like the Ripple? I don’t really know. Maybe I should have gotten the larger size. It’s REALLY small at the tip, and doesn’t really get much bigger. The silicone is a little floppier than I would like it to be. And honestly? Thrusting with the graduated “ripples” felt… odd. Like I said before, not unpleasant, but not pleasant, either. However, this toy might be good for someone that’s a true anal beginner. Otherwise, it will probably be too small. I’m not the only one that was disappointed by it, either. Miss KissThis and Wilhelmina Wang both felt similarly.
I think I’ll stick with my Tantus plug or Acute when I want something in my ass, which is a shame, because I really wanted to like this toy. It’s definitely a high quality, well made sex toy, so if this sounds like the kind of thing you’d enjoy, I would never discourage you from heading over to VibeReview and buying one for yourself!

yeah, thrusting with the "beads" did feel odd… and i can't put my finger on why smoothness > graduation, i suppose.
