I am starting to get really excited and really scared and really nervous all at the same time. I am unemployed and obsessively watching election coverage on TV while reading news stories and Facebook statuses (which should probably be “statii,” right? but whatever) and keeping my damn fingers crossed. This needs to end, as I am considering having a drink and it is only 2 PM.
All of the Facebook statuses are really encouraging, but I realize that most of my friends are a lot like me, and therefore liberal. It’s not a representative cross section of the general population. I am very, very glad that so many people are getting out and voting. That in itself is really encouraging. I keep sporadically tearing up and just want the results to come in. I volunteered and worked really hard for a campaign that I believe in and am really passionate about this man and about the change that this country needs.
I need a Xanax.
EDIT: First beer opened at 1:59 PM. Also… my local newspaper has posted a drinking game. Go, baby, go!

While I'm not as passionate as you, I will be in a bar before 3 drinking many beers. May have to come up with a variation of your paper's game, too!
On a slightly different note–seeing passion for the candidates and the process from a younger generation (I'm qualified to call you that) is good. Glad to know that the country isn't going to be going down the toilet soon!
I am really excited. I feel like something big is happening, and I am so happy to be a part of it. The young voters have played a huge role in this election, and I think it's great!

I'm so excited about this election–I've been on edge the entire freaking day. I do hope I'll be able to tell my grandchildren, someday, the part I played in history.
This is pretty amazing, so far.
Yeah Obama!!!
Rock on, OBAMA!!!! I'm so excited.
However, not at all pleased about the marriage amendments in Florida, Arizona and California…not looking super good.
Yes we can!
